Meet Angie.

Angie Tyree works as a nurse in Tri Cities, WA but spends much of her free time at the canvas honing her artistic skills. As a young child, she enjoyed arts and crafts but didn’t find her love of painting until she was in her 40s. In lieu of formal training, Angie has taken many community ed classes with local artists and has worked in watercolors, oils and acrylics.

Her recent focus has been in oil painting.

Much of Angie’s work involves florals. She likes exploring the dichotomy of the hard and soft lines that flowers have naturally through color and texture on her canvases. She especially loves poppies - they look so delicate but grow in some of the toughest conditions, like the crack of a sidewalk or between rocks on a hill.

Angie’s style is most heavily influenced by the painters of the impressionist and post-impressionist periods. In particular, she holds Vincent Van Gogh near and dear to her heart.

Angie is a mom and has raised three beautiful, wonderful young adults. They are her greatest works of art.
